Fungicide Pesticide & Repellent Copper Oxychloride + Cymoxanil WP (30%+10%, 69%+4.2%)
Copper Oxychloride
A widely used copper fungicide that is approved for use in many countries including at EU level. It has a low aqueous solubility and a low volatility. As a heavy metal, copper itself will not degrade in the environment. It is moderately toxic to mammals and most biodiversity.
Description: A protectant copper fungicide and bactericide used as a foliar spray
Example pests controlled: Leaf spot; Downy mildew
Example applications: Ornamentals; Beet crops; Olives; Grapes; Tomatoes
Chemical structure:
General status:
Cymoxanil
Cymoxanil is a fungicide approevd for use in the EU and many other countries. It is highly soluble in water and considered quite volatile. It has a low potential for leaching to groundwater, is non persistent in soil and water systems. Cymoxanil is moderately toxic to mammals, may cause adverse effects on reproduction/development and has a high potential to bio-concentrate. It is moderately toxic to most aquatic organisms, earthworms and honeybees but less so to birds.
Description: A fungicide used to control pathogens on a range of crops including potatoes and other crops.
Example pests controlled: Foliar late blight; Downy mildew; Powdery mildew
Example applications: Potatoes; Tomatoes; Grapes; Hops; Sugarbeet; Vines
